Only bad things happen quickly: Halloween Serial Twist Edition

My opinion: this statement is false. Halloween is coming up and to stir things up a little, I am ripping this statement completely out of context. Two words: Serial Killers. Let us look at the five most terrifying and famous killers

Ed Gein (killings between 1947 and 1957) skinned his victims, exhumed corpses and decorated his home with their remains. He was the inspiration behind Silence of the Lambs.

Next up: Ted Bundy (killings between 1974 and 1978) faking injuries to attract young women murder them and engaged in necrophilia.

Gary Ridgway – The Green River Killer (killings between 1982 and 1984) claimed to have murder 71 women (predominantly prostitutes) by leaving a group of corpses at a landmark of their location.

A women, Belle Sorenson Gunness (Killings between 1900 and 1908) known as the black window who slaughtered her husband’s and claimed their insurance afterward.

Most terrifying killer: John Wayne Gacy (Killings between 1972 and 1978) had multiple personalities: a contractor, a clown, a politician, and Jack Hanley. He used a clown act, a pair of trick handcuffs and would attach a rope across victim’s throats while he murders and simultaneously rape them.

The point is, these serial killers did not commit bad things quickly. They formulated their plans by taking their time, preyed their victims and strategically tore them apart. Thus, bad things do not only happen quickly- it can be planned. Happy Halloween!
