I love the Spice Girls! There, I admit it.
Thinking of this pop feministic group always puts a smile on my face. It takes
me back to the days where I only worried about collecting Spice Girls posters,
stickers, slammers, lollipops, bubblegum, clothes, accessories, CD’s and MOST
importantly: those awesome platform shoes.

I wore those shoes everyday no matter what
the weather or the mere fact that it clashed with my entire outfit. Wow, I was
a die heart fan! When this girl band performed at the 2012 London Olympics, I
jumped off my chair and sang along proudly. Yes, I STILL know the lyrics to ALL
their songs!

I am a lot older now and I must admit that I
felt a bit ‘embarrassed’ of owning two of their CD’s when I went through a ‘metal
phase’, but the Spice Girls kept me out of trouble. They were a part of my
childhood and a big influence in my life-believe it or not. Girl power to the
masses! I am Scary Spice, shot gun!
